Role Description The Professional Driver role at MyCityTransportation is a full-time, on-site position based in Greensboro, NC. In this role, the driver safely operates company vehicles to provide ADA paratransit, shuttle, and non-emergency transportation services, following all traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures. Daily responsibilities include picking up and dropping off passengers on schedule, assisting riders with mobility needs, and maintaining a courteous, professional, and respectful demeanor at all times. The driver completes pre- and post-trip inspections, keeps vehicles clean and presentable, and promptly reports any safety concerns, incidents, or mechanical issues. The role also involves accurate documentation of trips, clear communication with dispatch and supervisors, and active participation in ongoing training to maintain high standards of customer service and safety.
Qualifications

• Demonstrated safe driving record and experience operating passenger vehicles or similar transportation services.
• Strong customer service skills, including patience, empathy, and the ability to assist passengers with diverse mobility and accessibility needs.
• Reliability in following schedules, routes, and dispatch instructions, with good time management and attention to detail.
• Clear verbal communication skills for interacting with passengers, dispatchers, and team members.
• Ability to complete basic documentation, logs, and incident reports accurately and legibly.
• Commitment to safety practices, including adherence to traffic regulations, company policies, and ADA-related procedures.
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and respect for confidentiality when serving vulnerable populations.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Valid drivers license with acceptable motor vehicle record; eligibility to pass background checks and drug/alcohol screening.
• Ability to lift, secure, and assist passengers and mobility devices within reasonable physical requirements of the role.
