Community Engagement Specialist

Position Summary As Community Engagement Specialist, you join an exclusive team of leaders responsible for the implementation of the Alzheimer’s Association Portfolio of Community Program Offerings. The Portfolio brings awareness, education and support to all communities in the United States and activates a grassroots network of individuals and community leaders to work toward a world without Alzheimer’s and all other dementia. Utilizing your proven leadership, networking and relationship building skills to cultivate key community connections, you will drive success and expand the reach of our community offerings by strategically identifying and engaging community partners and activating and empowering volunteers, especially in new, underrepresented, and rural communities. As a successful community mobilizer who will manage multiple program delivery volunteers annually, you will generate excitement and enthusiasm in the community for the cause. You will coach and inspire your volunteers to implement proven strategies and best practices that result in increased community presence and serving more people with awareness, education and support year over year. This is a grant-funded position.
