An Industrial Blaster Painter prepares surfaces for painting using blasting techniques and applies industrial coatings, requiring skills in equipment operation, safety protocols, and coating application.

• Surface Preparation:
  • Remove dirt, rust, old paint, and other contaminants from surfaces using various blasting media (e.g., sand, grit, shot).
  • Prepare surfaces for painting to ensure proper adhesion and durability of the coating.
  • Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from defects before painting.
• Coating Application:
  • Apply industrial coatings (e.g., paints, primers, sealants) using various methods (e.g., spray guns, brushes, rollers).
  • Mix and apply coatings according to specifications and safety guidelines.

Work environment:

• Very fast paced and noisy, long-standing hours
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 lbs, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Workshop

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent. 1+ years related experience
• Industrial and epoxy painting experience
• Zinc coating experience
• Forklift experience
• Sandblasting experience
• SAP Experience preferred by not required (ERP systems a plus)

Nice to have:

• Paint mixing experience
• Good communicator
• Attention to detail (checking thickness in paint)

Shifts:

• 1st Shift: 7am to 3pm Monday Friday

OT and weekends
