Qualifications As a QC Specialist at Eastern Industrial Supplies, Inc., you will need a blend of essential skills that will set you up for success. First and foremost, strong organizational abilities are crucial, as you'll be managing inventory and ensuring accurate shipments. A keen eye for detail will help you double-check orders and maintain quality standards. Good communication skills are vital for effectively collaborating with team members and providing excellent customer service during deliveries.
A commitment to safety and integrity will guide your actions daily, while a positive attitude and a willingness to learn will make you an invaluable team member. Training for forklift driver certification and safety training are required to be successful at Eastern. Previous Quality Control experience preferred Hands-on experience in a distribution center required Get started, APPLY TODAY! EOE and Drug Free Workplace
- Ensures inventory accuracy; adjusts inventory in system when necessary; Maximize space and tracks item locations.
- Pull Count Report daily
- Perform all Immediate Counts first thing daily, after immediate Counts are completed and resolved, complete daily Advanced Cycle Counts.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies found between the inventory count and the physical counts
- Partner with Sales, Receiving, Shipping, and any other parties to find out why discrepancies occurred
- Report to Supervisor any findings regarding adjustments that may be made to procedures to prevent future discrepancies.
- Perform all Immediate Counts (Back Order Investigations) first thing daily, investigating and resolving any discrepancies found between the inventory count and the physical counts. Log Unquality Events (UETs) for Back Orders.
- Weekly Future POs Analysis for Space Management.
- Investigate and resolve each item discrepancy as necessary
- Adjust counts in system as required and track dollar value of adjustments
- Maximize location space for items as needed. Move items from secondary/overstock locations to primary locations as needed, or as informed by Pickers.
- Functions as a back-up to Distribution Associates if needed.
