Senior Caregiver Position

What You'll Do

As a caregiver with Senior Helpers of Grass Valley, you'll provide personalized care and support tailored to each client's unique needs, preferences, and goals. Every visit is an opportunity to bring comfort, confidence, and a reassuring presence to someone who depends on your care.

Responsibilities Include:

• Providing companionship through conversation, meaningful engagement, hobbies, games, and other activities that promote emotional well-being.
• Assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Assisting clients with mobility, transfers, ambulation, and positioning using safe techniques and appropriate equipment.
• Preparing nutritious meals and assisting with feeding as needed.
• Performing light housekeeping, laundry, and maintaining a safe home environment.
• Providing medication reminders in accordance with each client's care plan.
• Transporting clients to appointments, errands, and community activities.
• Supporting clients living with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia.
• Observing and reporting changes in a client's physical, emotional, or cognitive condition.
• Maintaining clear, accurate, and timely documentation while communicating professionally with clients, families, and the Senior Helpers team.

• Employee benefits following the introductory period (approximately 90 days). Benefit eligibility and details will be discussed during the interview process.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum of one year of professional hands-on caregiving experience required.
• Experience assisting clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility, transfers, and personal care.
• Experience caring for clients living with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia preferred.
• Current Home Care Aide (HCA) registration or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred.
• Valid California driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and meet all California Home Care Organization employment requirements.
• Current TB clearance or willingness to obtain prior to employment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including clear, accurate, and timely documentation.
