Overview Class A OTR Drivers work 40 weeks out of the year with 12 weeks off. Base pay ranges from $90,000–$112,000 per year. 100% no touch freight with 85% drop‑and‑hook. Job Details Full‑time Class A OTR drivers are required to have 12 months of OTR experience within the last 15 months, including at least 2 months of driving in the Northeast or Upper Midwest during December, January or February. Driving across the country on I‑40 does not count. Trucks average 18 months old and are equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, inverter, APU, flatscreen TV and XM radio. Models include Freightliners, KW and International. Drivers will operate in the following states and, after a 21‑day run, park at a company facility in OH, PA or NC with company‑sponsored return flights. Trucks are not slip‑seated while the driver is away. IL, IN, KY, WV, MI, OH, PA, NJ, TN, DE, MD, VA, CT, RI, MA, NC, SC, GA (excludes New York state and city) Pay & Benefits Starting pay is based on experience, ranging from 0.67 to 0.72 CPM, and may include hazmat premiums. Full benefits begin after 60 days and include bonus, PTO, medical, dental, 401(k) and more. Responsibilities All freight is no touch and 85% drop‑and‑hook. At least 65% of the time is driving at night. Drivers must be able to drive at night; if you cannot, you are not eligible. Qualifications Must meet the driving experience requirements outlined above. No DOT Preventable Recordable accidents in the last 5 years. No more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years, and none must be major (including personal and commercial). Total moving violations and accidents must not exceed 3. No major moving violations such as 15 mph over, reckless or lane violations within the last 3 years. No DUI in the last 8 years and only one DUI in a lifetime. Must never have failed or refused a DOT drug or alcohol test regardless of how long ago it occurred.
