Occupational Therapist

Walla Walla, WA | Short Term Acute Care / Level III Trauma Center

Contract | Days | 5×8-Hour Shifts | 7:00–15:00 | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services within a short-term acute care setting, supporting a patient ratio of approximately 8–9 to 1
• Float between units as needed to meet facility staffing demands
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care
• Document patient care and progress using Epic electronic health records
• Participate in rotating weekend coverage, approximately every 3–4 weeks
• Commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

Required Qualifications

• Valid Washington State Occupational Therapist license — must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of acute care experience
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible at standard terms (locals within 50 miles may be considered at a different rate)
• Must be available for rotating weekend shifts (approximately every 3–4 weeks)
• 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start
• Background must be clear of Nursys or background check hits per facility policy

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Inpatient Rehabilitation (IPR) experience
• Experience working in a Level III Trauma Center or similar acute care environment
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
