Registered Nurse - RN PACU

Registered Nurse / RN (FT)

Looking for a full time PACU nurse for a fast-paced outpatient surgery center. PACU nurses are responsible for overseeing vital signs, changing bandages, and administering necessary medications. They also educate families and patients about homecare instructions, manage respiratory instability and cardiac monitoring activities, assess patient's condition after surgery is performed, ensure that all vital signs are within range, develop individualized care plans based on patient's condition, monitor patient's condition changes and report changes to healthcare team, perform intervention duties in the case of post-operative emergencies, record sedation levels and body temperatures, ensure the post-operative space is clean and sanitized, and perform other duties as requested.

Requirements include a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, current RN license, BLS and ACLS required, PALS preferred, and a minimum of one year experience in PACU or critical care equivalent area.
