Houseman Opportunity At Mr. C Miami Coconut GroveMr. C Coconut Grove is looking to hire a Houseman to assist our housekeeping team and guests. This position has a competitive wage, depending on experience. A total of 100 guestrooms and suites with private outdoor terraces, a new Italian dining concept with indoor and outdoor seating and its rooftop Bellini Restaurant and Bar provide guests with attentive European service, complimented by luxury accommodations and amenities.YOUR ROLE AS A HOUSEMAN Houseman's responsibilities include fixing minor issues (like changing light bulbs) and cleaning building areas, including entrances. To be successful in this role, you should be able to manage various tasks on a daily basis to ensure great customer service and that our operations run smoothly. Keep in mind that our Houseman position requires working in shifts, occasionally on weekends or evenings. Ultimately, you'll ensure our building is safe, clean, and inviting.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:Sweep and mop floors and vacuum carpetsEnsure building entrance is free of clutter at all timesDirect guests to the reception area or the appropriate office/roomAssist housekeepers with carrying our loads of linens, towels, and trashRun errands for guests and employeesFix minor technical issues, like changing bulbsReport damages, call technicians and monitor repairsMaintain stock of cleaning suppliesComply with health and safety regulationsFollow evacuation rules in case of emergenciesREQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:Previous work experience as a Porter, Janitor or CustodianHands-on experience with industrial cleaning equipmentAvailable to work overnight, weekends, and holidaysGood physical condition, stamina and strength (e.g. to lift heavy equipment and luggage)Familiarity with security regulationsSolid verbal communication skills to interact with cleaning staff, technicians and customersBasic mechanical skillsAvailability to work in shifts and flexible schedules (e.g. weekends and evenings)High school diploma is a plusGrooming: All Employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Cipriani standards.READY TO JOIN OUR TEAM?
