JPS offers 18 residency and fellowship programs, including the largest family medicine residency in the nation.

Position Details: Monday - Friday (8-hour day shift) or possibility for 10-hour shifts, rotating off day weekly Well woman, problem gynecology and obstetrics Diverse patient population with complicated conditions

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Collaborates with the physician in overseeing and coordinating the multidisciplinary care delivered to all patients, to optimize quality patient care. Reviews patient medical charts to assist physician with diagnosis, treatment and care management. Makes appropriate patient referrals as necessary. Monitors guidelines for the management of care and for ensuring that the services are delivered in compliance with the guidelines established by JPS Health Network and Acclaim Health. Provides care education to patients and families. Provides evidence-based and compassionate care to all patients as assigned to improve patient outcomes and increase patient satisfaction scores. Maintains a collaborative environment with providers, clinical staff, and support staff. Supports academic, educational and research endeavors. Attends Performance Improvement Programs and Peer Review committee meetings; and is an active participant in the process. Serves as a resource to the community. Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Required Education and Experience: 1-2 years' experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in Obstetrics and Gynecology EDUCATION: Completion of a master's or post-master's degree in a nursing program accredited by the Commission on the Collegiate of Nursing Education (CCNE) or the National League Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) OR Completion of an Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) approved program (prior to January 2001, completion of a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs-approved program), or demonstrate completion of an accredited Physician Assistant residency program Required Licensure/Certifications: Current certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), National Certification Corp (NCC), American College of Nurse Midwives (ACNM), or National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), or an equivalent body. AND Current licensure to practice as an APRN or Physician Assistant in the state of Texas.
