System Administrator (Tier 2.5 w/MSP)

Overview We are a client-focused Cloud and Managed Services Provider in New York near Penn Station hiring a System Administrator with strong Tier 2–2.5 experience to support and lead a mix of project and escalation work across cloud, server, and virtualization technologies. Location and Schedule This role is hybrid based in New York near Penn Station with two work-from-home days per week. Compensation Base pay range: $70,000.00/yr - $85,000.00/yr Benefits and Perks Quarterly profit sharing 401(k) plan with company match Employer-paid health, vision, and dental insurance Certification reimbursement 1 day of work-from-home flexibility Generous PTO and paid holidays Clear pathways for career advancement Work with modern tools and tech in a supportive, engineering-led environment Key Responsibilities Assist with and lead deployment projects involving Windows Server, Microsoft 365, and Azure Provide Tier 2+ support for cloud, virtualization, and network issues Troubleshoot escalated technical issues across servers, desktops, and cloud platforms Support configuration and maintenance of VMware or Hyper-V environments Assist with firewall setups and network security improvements Collaborate with clients to understand needs and help deliver effective solutions Qualifications and Experience Minimum of 2 years working for a Managed Services Provider Strong experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 (Exchange, Intune, SharePoint) Strong experience with Azure and virtualization platforms like VMware or Hyper-V Familiarity with firewalls, backup tools, and RMM/PSA platforms Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills Desire to grow into larger project work and eventually take on more client-facing ownership Job Function and Industries Job function: Information Technology Industries: IT Services and IT Consulting and Information Services Employment Type Full-time Seniority Level Mid-Senior level #J-18808-Ljbffr Bowman Williams
