Travel Physical Therapist - Outpatient

American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist for a 13-week travel assignment requiring current NM PT licensure and BLS certification.

Outpatient physical medicine and therapy setting

13-week assignment with day shift schedule from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM

No weekend or on-call requirements

Blocked scheduling not accommodated

Current New Mexico Physical Therapist licensure required (if applicable)

BLS certification from AHA required

Bachelor's, Master's, or entry-level Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from an accredited program required

Minimum 1 year of experience preferred

Proficiency with all modalities and equipment used by a Physical Therapist as outlined by the Executive Council of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Examiners

Must successfully complete pre-employment and annual health screening examinations

Responsibilities include comprehensive diagnostic evaluations, individualized treatment plan development, and discharge planning for inpatients and outpatients

Supervises Licensed Physical Therapy Assistants, Rehab Technicians, and Volunteers

Assists with coordination and supervision of Physical Therapy and Physical Therapy Assistant student programs

Participates in patient care conferences, in-service programs, and departmental meetings

Involved in performance improvement activities and departmental productivity standards

Dress code includes khaki pants and a white polo

Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel rate; local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis

Previous CHRISTUS employees must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for a travel assignment at any CHRISTUS facility
