Registered Nurse

Stepdown Cardiac/Tele RN - DaysThis is a 13-week contract position.3x12-Hour Days (08:00 - 20:30); every other weekend required; holidays as scheduled.The Stepdown Cardiac/Telemetry RN will provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients. The RN will be responsible for monitoring patient conditions, administering medications and treatments, and ensuring effective communication among the healthcare team.Responsibilities:Provide care for patients with diagnoses including CHF, MI, pre/post cardiac catheterization, TAVR, CVA, COPD, DM, and respiratory failure.Monitor vital signs and telemetry readings, interpreting dysrhythmias and arterial blood gases as needed.Manage and care for central lines, arterial lines, and PICC lines.Administer medications and manage IV drips (both cardiac and vasoactive) without titration.Assist with complex care procedures, including post-cardiac surgical care and hemodialysis management.Provide patient and family education on treatment plans and home care methods.Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:RN License: Must have an active MD or Compact License.Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, CPI required; previous charge experience preferred.Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in a stepdown cardic/telemetry unit.Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system is required.Travel nursing experience is required; first-time travelers are not accepted.Why ARMStaffing?Health Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and moreOnboarding Made Easy: We handle physicals, titers, and more so you can focus on careClinical Support: In-house clinical team available to assist and advocate401k Retirement Plan: Eligible after waiting period; 4% match with 5% contributionRecruiter Matching: Get paired with a recruiter based on your location and specialtyExtras: Travel reimbursement, housing allowance, meals, referral bonuses, and moreWe're not the only ones who think ARMStaffing should be your first choice.
