Electrical CAD Technician

Electrical Cad TechnicianImmediate need for a talented Electrical CAD Technician. This is a 12+ months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Fort Worth, TX (Onsite).Key Responsibilities:Assist with preparing drawings and revising existing engineering drawings of basic components from specific sketches or layouts.Assist with preparing and revising permit & plot drawings.Responsible for adhering to company and client drafting standards and procedures.Responsible for adhering to the drafting practices of selected discipline.Assist in drafting design and documentation for various projects.Assist with tasks utilizing standard drafting detail programs.Assist in continuous drafting detail improvement efforts.Research solutions to project concerns and recommend solutions to design problems.Performs other duties as assigned and comply with all policies and standards.Key Requirements and Technology Experience:Minimum 2 years of experience with overhead transmission line design.Must have experience with either AutoCAD or MicroStation.Associates Degree.Course work in drafting technology Required or specialized CAD certification Required.Having AutoCAD and/or Micro-Station experience is a plus.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong problem solving and analytical skills.Basic knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.Demonstrated leadership skills.Self-motivated and eager learner, aptitude to grow and develop within the field.Our client is a leading Architecture and Construction Industry, and we are currently interviewing to fill this and other similar contract positions.
