Job Title

A Brief Overview

Transports items throughout the Health System in a safe manner following established guidelines on foot or using a vehicle. Ensure vehicle cleanliness inside and out. Schedule routine vehicle maintenance. Operates vehicles in compliance with all Federal, State and City traffic laws.

$15.07-$19.58 per hour. What you will do

• Operate hospital provided vehicle
• Pick up and delivery of supplies/equipment /documents/forms
• Deposit Bag accountability
• Vehicle maintenance
• Warehouse maintenance
• Picking and packaging supplies for transport
• Complies with Standards of Employee Conduct as noted in Policy and Procedure No. 45-19.

Education Qualifications

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required

Experience Qualifications

• Minimum of one year relevant experience and or training in healthcare or similar role; or equivalent combination of education and experience Required

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as Material Safety Data Sheets, packing lists, delivery tickets, put lists, and operating procedure manuals. Ability to maintain a schedule log.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Must apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables
• This job requires computer and systems competency in the following areas: enters data, retrieves data, assembles and organizes data, uses and analyzes data.
• Performs clerical and cashier functions.

Physical Demands

• Medium physical requirements Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
