Golf Shop Clerk, SeasonalThe Kenosha County Division of Golf is accepting applications for seasonal Golf Shop Clerks to work at our two golf courses, Brighton Dale Links and Petrifying Springs. We are looking for energetic, enthusiastic, and hardworking individuals to assist in the day-to-day operations of the facilities. Candidates must be passionate about providing exceptional customer service to help provide world class playing, dining, and shopping experiences for our guests.2026 Pay Range: $14.00 - $16.00 per hourHiring BonusA Kenosha County seasonal Golf candidate who is successfully hired and employed for at least 30 days shall be awarded a $200.00 bonus to their paycheck.Work ScheduleSeasonal employees generally work from March through OctoberStart dates will vary depending on weather and golf course conditionsGolf clubhouse hours of operation are typically dawn to dusk (5:30 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. depending on the season)Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidaysDuties and ResponsibilitiesAnswers phones and schedules tee timesOperates cash register and tee sheet systemAssists in receiving, stocking, and selling merchandiseAnswers guests' questions regarding golf events, coupons, and other specialsMonitors and reports guests' pace of playAssists with golf outingsPerforms golf club repairs and spike changesOpens and closes golf shopSupervises and assists outside service and player support staffPerforms other duties as required or assignedJob Requirements, Education, Training, and ExperienceMust be at least 18 years old at the time of applicationHigh school diploma or GED equivalentRetail experience preferred but not requiredMust possess a valid driver's license at time of hire and maintain during incumbency, with acceptable driving recordSuccess FactorsKnowledge of the game of golf, golf equipment, and the desire to work in the golf industryKnowledge of basic math associated with currency exchangeSkill in communicating effectively with guests and co-workersSkill in basic usage of Microsoft OfficeAbility to follow written and/or verbal instructionsAbility to observe and recognize safety precautionsAbility to perform a variety of clubhouse-related tasksAbility to operate cash register and handle money with accuracyAbility to work independently and under pressureAbility to work respectfully in a diverse and inclusive environmentPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
