Schedule: Night Shift | Every Other Weekend Required

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Pediatric ICU Float for a 13-week contract opportunity in Atlanta, Georgia. The RN will provide critical care nursing support across pediatric intensive care units including PICU, NICU, TDICU, CICU , and other specialty or general care areas as needed.

This position requires flexibility to float between two campuses and multiple pediatric units. Typical ICU patient ratios are approximately 2 3 patients per RN , based on patient acuity and unit needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients across PICU, NICU, TDICU, CICU, and other specialty units.

• Perform detailed assessments, monitor changes in clinical condition, and initiate appropriate critical-care nursing interventions.

• Administer medications, treatments, and supportive therapies according to provider orders and established pediatric critical-care standards.

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to coordinate individualized pediatric plans of care.

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in Epic and float between designated campuses, ICU units, and general or specialty care areas as required.

Requirements

• Active Georgia Registered Nurse (RN) License or Applicable Compact RN License Required.

• Minimum 2 Years of PICU or Pediatric CICU Nursing Experience Required.

• Current BLS and ACLS Certifications Required.

• Pediatric Critical Care Experience and Ability to Float Across PICU, NICU, TDICU, CICU, General Care, and Specialty Units Required.

• Epic Experience Required; Flu Vaccination and Required Pre-Employment Drug/Nicotine Screening Required.

The Pediatric ICU Float RN will provide skilled, adaptable, and patient-centered critical care while supporting safe outcomes across pediatric intensive care and specialty units.
