NEURO PCU: SEASONAL (13 WEEKS)

Our Neuro/PCU unit is a fast‑paced environment that includes high acuity patients. The unit offers opportunities to enhance your knowledge and career growth in a supportive, mentored team. Patient Population : Stroke, Post‑op Surgery; brain, neck and back, Seizure, Altered Mental Status, Post Thrombectomy, mild TBI, post op craniotomy, degenerative neuro disorders, Alcohol withdrawal. Patient Ratios : 1:3‑5. Number of Beds : 32. Department Specifics : Active Unit‑Based Council, self‑scheduling, culture of teamwork and safety, leadership promotes growth and engagement. Shift : Seasonal (13 weeks); 7 pm‑7 am. Requirements : 2 years of recent PCU acute care hospital experience. Job Summary : As a Seasonal RN, you will manage patient care, evaluate and create care plans, monitor progress, and help patients navigate the healthcare system safely, reducing complications. Essential Functions Of The Role Using good judgment and clinical reasoning, conduct thorough assessments following practice standards. Identify patient and family needs and develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans, adjusting as needed. Create safe, therapeutic environments for patients, families, and staff. Manage emotional and physical pain to promote recovery and prevent unnecessary suffering. Key Success Factors Comprehensive knowledge of nursing standards and patient‑care procedures. Effective communication skills to interact clearly with diverse individuals. Proficient problem‑solving and critical‑thinking abilities for quality care. Flexibility and prompt communication of changes in patient health conditions. Qualifications A degree from a recognized nursing program or two years of relevant work experience. 2 years of recent PCU acute care hospital experience. A valid Registered Nurse license. Ability to obtain Basic Life Support certification within the first 30 days of employment.
