Billing & Shipping Clerk

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Truck and rail billing activities Preparing Shipping documents for outbound freight Coordinate with other departments to facilitate billing Maintaining truck and railcar tracking and workflow Scaling of trucks Controlling Gate 1 truck traffic QUALIFICATIONS Competencies and Experience Required: Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel Minimum of two years experience in an administrative capacity Effective communication skills Self directed and able to work with minimal supervision Preferred: Experience in an industrial environment in shipping, receiving or warehouse operations Education Required: High School diploma or equivalent GED or HSE Preferred: Associate\'s degree in business or related field SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES / DIRECT REPORTS There are no supervisory responsibilities or direct reports for this position. WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS This position operates in an industrial office environment with heavy foot traffic in/out. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers. This role is partially sedentary, however, some filing and handling of materials is required. This would require the ability to walk, bend, kneel, or stand, use of hands to finger, hold and handle, reach with hands and arms and to push / pull, lift or carry items up to 50 lbs.
