Job Overview ADVERTISING TITLE: OPS Chaplain Administrator‑F/C Location: Madison Correctional Institution – Chaplaincy Department Requisition No: 879705 Pay Plan: Temp Position No: 70920667 Salary: $21.00 hourly Posting Closing Date: 07/23/2026 Job Duties Plan, schedule, implement, and coordinate supervision for Chaplaincy Services programs. Provide pastoral care, conduct worship services, and teach religious education classes for inmates. Manage the Certified Food Option Program and the Religious Diet Program, ensuring all dietary needs are met. Maintain detailed records, submit comprehensive reports, and process documentation related to chapel activities and diet program. Supervise the volunteer program and support the Senior Chaplain with institutional visits and meetings. Benefits OPS employees working an average of 30 hours or more per week are eligible to enroll in state group insurance plans. Standard PPO/HMO options include: Employee Only: $25 biweekly Spouse Program: $15 biweekly Employee & Family: $90 biweekly Dental – five separate FDC dental plans with monthly premiums as low as $12.64. Vision – single FDC vision plan through Humana with monthly premiums as low as $5.92. Life – $25,000 group term life insurance with a low monthly premium of $3.78; employees may also elect child and spouse life insurance. Retirement – Florida FICA Alternative Plan with Corebridge Financial; all OPS employees automatically enrolled and contribute 7.5% of compensation. Requirements High‑school diploma or equivalent. One year of professional experience as a clergyperson or related professional experience. Current written approbation or endorsement by the appropriate ecclesiastical body.
