Quality Assurance Technician

Job Type Full‑time Pay Range Day shift: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour Night shift includes a 5% differential Shifts First: 6:00am - 2:30pm Night: 10:00pm - 6:30am Job Summary The Quality Department verifies that products meet or exceed safe food handling and quality standards. QA Technicians take corrective action when necessary, collaborate with Operations and other stakeholders to ensure controls function as designed, and report issues promptly. In the absence of a QA Technician, a QA Lead or Supervisor will back‑fill. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Assist in problem‑solving events to determine root cause and establish preventive measures. Know and apply 100% of all laboratory procedures, cross‑functionally trained, and cover 100% of Quality Control and Assurance checks. Act as a Trainer for all QA Lab, Line, and department policies and procedures. Perform sensory evaluation on samples and document as necessary. Ensure effective collection and shipment of customer samples with appropriate documentation. Work independently at the batch station and escalating when necessary. Effectively batch or adjust the product using experience and tools provided at the frontline station for all lines/product SKUs independently. Requirements Follow all lab methods and procedures accurately. Participate in the LME safety program. Complete all required food safety training per Alchemy protocol. Adhere to all internal policies, including GMP practices, attendance policy, and the Technical Services Manual methodology. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Exceptional organizational, planning, time‑management, and communication skills. Education And/or Experience High School Diploma with 1–3 years of laboratory experience, preferably in a food manufacturing facility. Related coursework in Biology, Chemistry, or Food Science is a plus. Ability to follow directions and work independently with limited supervision. Detail‑oriented with the ability to maintain accurate and legible documentation.
