Registered Dental Hygienist

Registered Dental Hygienist RDH will play a vital role in preventing and managing oral health issues, working collaboratively with dentists to ensure patients receive comprehensive dental care. We are looking for someone who is well versed in SRPs and laser. Someone who is friendly, a team play and has great communication skills. Position is part time - 3 days a week but willing to open some Monday/Wednedays for extra hours! Pay $55~$65 per hour Employment Type Part-time Requirements Basic life support Licensed dental hygienist RDH License BLS Certificate Job Description Provides preventive oral care, performs dental examinations, and educates patients on proper oral hygiene practices. Responsibilities include cleaning teeth, taking X-rays, applying preventive materials, and assisting dentists during procedures. Patient Assessment: Conducting initial patient screenings, reviewing dental histories, and assessing overall oral health. Dental Cleaning: Removing plaque, tartar, and stains from teeth using specialized instruments. Preventive Care: Applying sealants and fluorides to protect teeth, and administering other preventive treatments. X-ray Procedures: Taking and developing dental X-rays to aid in diagnosis. Patient Education: Teaching patients about proper oral hygiene techniques, including brushing and flossing, and providing nutritional advice related to oral health. Assisting the Dentist: Helping the dentist during dental procedures and handling dental emergencies. Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate patient records and clinical notes. Equipment Management: Sterilizing and maintaining dental instruments and equipment. Oral Health Promotion: Providing education and guidance to patients on maintaining good oral health. Oral Cancer Screening: Performing screenings to detect early signs of oral cancer.
