Estimator - New Home Residential Roofing

Master Roofing Solutions part of the TIMEPROOFUSA family is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Estimator to support our growing new home residential roofing operations. This position is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive bids for production homebuilders throughout California and future expansion markets. The ideal candidate will have strong experience reading plans, understanding residential roofing systems, and utilizing Edge Estimating software to develop complete project estimates. This role requires strong communication, organization, and time management skills, along with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment supporting multiple builders and active bid opportunities. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed roofing estimates for new residential construction projects using Edge Estimating software Review architectural plans, specifications, scopes of work, and community details to develop accurate takeoffs and pricing Estimate a variety of roofing systems including: Composite shingle, Concrete tile, TPO/PVC, Standing seam metal, Low-slope roofing systems Coordinate with sales, purchasing, operations, and leadership teams to ensure accurate scope alignment and pricing strategy Identify potential scope gaps, value engineering opportunities, and risk factors prior to bid submission Maintain organized bid files, tracking logs, and estimating documentation Assist with builder clarifications, revisions, change orders, and bid follow-up requests Support ongoing improvement of estimating systems, processes, and pricing databases Meet bid turnaround timelines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail Qualifications Minimum 3–5 years of estimating experience in residential roofing or related construction trades Strong proficiency with Edge Estimating software (required) Experience bidding production homebuilder projects strongly preferred Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and roofing details Knowledge of residential roofing materials, installation methods, and building practices Strong mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and general construction software platforms Excellent communication and follow-up skills Preferred Experience Experience working with national or regional homebuilders Familiarity with solar roofing coordination and Title 24 requirements Understanding of California residential construction market and builder expectations Experience estimating sheet metal and waterproofing details What We Offer Opportunity to work with one of the fastest-growing roofing & solar companies in the industry Hybrid work schedule: 3 days in the office and 2 days from home Collaborative and team-oriented culture Long-term growth opportunities Competitive compensation package based on experience #J-18808-Ljbffr TIMEPROOFUSA
