Work Environment

This position is performed onsite in patient homes, allowing for a unique one-on-one interaction that is essential for effective therapy. As a home care Physical Therapist, you will interact with patients in their familiar surroundings, which can significantly enhance their comfort and recovery experience. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients in a home care setting to assess their physical abilities and needs.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans utilizing a variety of techniques such as therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and assistive devices.
• Monitor and document patients’ progress meticulously, adjusting treatment protocols based on individual responses and outcomes.
• Provide education and training to patients, caregivers, and families on therapy exercises and the usage of assistive equipment to enhance self-care and mobility.
• Stay informed on advances in physical therapy practices by attending workshops and engaging with professional networks to ensure the delivery of the best possible care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on educating and rehabilitating a diverse group of patients, including those recovering from orthopedic surgeries, neurological conditions, and chronic pain syndromes. By fostering an empathetic and supportive environment, you will help patients maintain their dignity while striving to regain independence in their day-to-day activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• Valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Virginia.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills necessary for effective interactions with patients and healthcare teams.
• Proficient in computer and word processing skills for documentation and reporting purposes.
• A flexible mindset, adapting to the dynamic needs of each patient's care.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of work experience in a clinical setting, preferably with a focus on home health therapy.
• Experience with patient assessments, report generation, and interdisciplinary cooperation.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package.
