Forklift Operator
Updike Distribution Logistics is seeking an experienced and dependable Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced distribution environment.
Candidates must have hands-on experience operating sit-down forklifts, single/double pallet forklifts, and reach trucks.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate sit-down, single/double pallet, and reach truck forklifts.
- Load, unload, move, and stage freight throughout the warehouse.
- Accurately pick, organize, and prepare products for shipment.
- Assist with receiving, inventory management, and warehouse organization.
- Perform daily forklift inspections and report equipment concerns.
- Follow all company safety procedures and warehouse operating standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Work collaboratively with warehouse supervisors and team members to meet daily productivity goals.
Qualifications
- Required experience operating sit-down, single/double pallet, and reach truck forklifts.
- Previous warehouse or distribution center experience required.
- Ability to safely and efficiently move freight in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to lift, move, and handle warehouse materials as needed.
- Dependable attendance, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Schedule
Monday – Friday 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
