Physician Assistant-Hospitalist Acute Nocturnist

Renown Health is seeking a qualified Physician Assistant to join our Hospitalist Medicine team, providing high-quality acute inpatient care during night shift operations. This role supports the delivery of safe, efficient, and patient-centered care within Nevada's largest integrated health system. The position also contributes to Renown's academic partnership with the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine, supporting a culture of clinical excellence, education, and continuous improvement.

Position Highlights

• Comprehensive inpatient assessments including admissions and cross-coverage
• Collaboration with hospitalists and interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care
• Management of acute changes in patient condition with appropriate escalation
• Participation in quality and academic initiatives aligned with Renown and UNR
• Full-time night shift schedule

Key Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient evaluation and management for adult acute-care patients
• Perform admissions, cross-coverage, and clinical decision-making in collaboration with the hospitalist team
• Coordinate care with nursing, specialists, and ancillary services
• Document accurately in the EMR and ensure continuity of care
• Respond to rapid changes in patient status with confidence and clinical skill

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited PA program
• Current Nevada PA license or eligibility
• Acute care or hospital medicine experience preferred
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently at night
