The focus of this role is to build user-facing systems and services that support and enable Imply's solution to unlock the power of open-source Apache Druid to be the go to solution for a high-performance, cost-efficient data layer for existing observability tools.ResponsibilitiesWorking as part of a cross-functional team to ensure that the enterprise-grade services and interfaces we build support the needs of our product in areas of Identity, APIs, and BillingCollaborating closely with our product, user experience, and quality teams to quickly and iteratively deliver high value features that are scalable, accurate, and secureParticipating in the ongoing effort of improving how we work with each iteration, as part of a collaborative team of application engineer professionalsWriting resilient tests to cover all functional requirements and conducting security auditsRequirements3+ years of API or backend development using Java or NodeJSSolid understanding of modern software engineering practices such as agile methodologies and CI/CD, with a deep focus on testability and qualityProficiency with Java is preferable, or a deep understanding of another statically-typed language for API or micro-services developmentBachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experienceBonus PointsExperience with authentication, authorization and security from APIs to single-page applicationsExperience with building production-grade single-page applications using Typescript and React or similar libraries (Vue, Angular, Svelte, etc)Experience working as part of an engineering team at a software-as-a-service based companyWhat We Offer:100% Paid Medical, Dental and Vision Benefits401(k) ProgramFertility CoverageDependent Care FSAMental Health SupportLife and AD&D InsuranceUnlimited Paid Time Off - USA OnlyWellness StipendHome Office Equipment ReimbursementPre-Tax Commuter BenefitsPet InsuranceIndividual compensation will be determined based on the candidate's experience and qualifications aligned with Imply's internal levelings guidelines and benchmarks. The below range encompasses roles with on target earnings.
