What You Will Do The goal of Environmental Services at Our Lady of Mercy is to provide a clean, orderly, and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff in keeping with the mission and philosophy of St. Peter’s Health Partners. Responsibilities Performs general housekeeping and floor care duties. Assists the supervisor with functions including but not limited to planning, scheduling, staff oversight, inventory, and special projects. Coordinates with the supervisor and shares responsibility for the cleanliness of the buildings. Other Job Duties Include Lift, pull, push up to 50 pounds; basic knowledge of dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing. Thorough room cleaning following all processes to ensure daily or scheduled cleaning of all areas, fixtures, and surfaces. Comply with infection control policies and procedures. Maintain good working relationships and communicate with other departments, residents, families, and staff. Respond pleasantly to all requests. Communicate to Housekeeping Supervisor only problems encountered while performing daily routine. Perform any other duties assigned by Housekeeping Supervisor or Director. Minimum Requirements Demonstrate SPHP Standards of Behavior. Read, write, and speak English at a minimum 6th grade level. Follow written and verbal instructions and complete high‑school level computational skills. Perform functions, duties, and responsibilities of housekeeping and related tasks. Ability to lift, pull, and push up to 50 pounds; basic knowledge of dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing. Pay Range $16.20 – $19.74 per hour.
