Job Summary The Scientific Research Associate (SRA) will work closely with the Principal Investigator (PI) to design and execute research projects focused on an AAV-based therapy for a rodent model of a neuromuscular genetic disorder. The role requires experience with rodent behavioral studies (Rotarod, grip‑strength, wire‑hang), dissection, tissue slicing, immunohistochemistry, confocal microscopy, quantitative PCR, and tissue culture. The SRA will assist in data collection, entry, quality control, study design, literature review, data analysis, and manuscript or conference preparation. Key Responsibilities 70% – Data collection, analysis, and animal maintenance. 30% – Laboratory and administrative support. Minimum Qualifications No minimum education required. Previous experience with animal protocols and handling animals in a research setting. Experience maintaining laboratory equipment. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience, Biology, Physiology, or related field. Experience with anesthesia and tissue collection. Experience with molecular studies, including PCR, RT‑PCR, Western blot, and DNA sequence analysis. Experience maintaining tissue‑culture cells.
