We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with hospital experience to lead our financial operations and strategy. The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for developing financial policy and overall financial direction to ensure viability of the Health System in accordance with policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing strategic guidance to enhance profitability and growth. This role requires a strong leader who can effectively manage financial planning, reporting, and analysis while aligning financial goals with the overall business strategy. Job Summary: The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for developing financial policy and overall financial direction to ensure viability of the Health System in accordance with policies and procedures all applicable to Federal, State, and local regulations. Job Responsibilities: Demonstrates responsibility for compliance with Medicare and Medicaid regulations; Federal, State, andthird partypayer regulations relating to Health system policies, procedures, mission,visionand values. Enables staff to have access to regulations and billing requirements. Maintains policies and procedures. Monitors compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures. Promotes staff education of changes in regulations,policiesand procedures on an ongoing basis. Responsible for the financial status of the Health System and subsidiary organizations. Reports to Administration, Board of Directors, andappropriate committees. Coordinates and directs development ofHealthSystem budget. Determinesfund availability andappropriate timingfor capital budget expenditures. Promotescost containment. Monitorsmonthly budget reports of all areas andrespondsappropriately. Reviews alternate financing possibilities and makesappropriate recommendations. Annuallyreviewsinsurance needs of the Health System andmakesappropriate recommendations. Examines requirements for bond issues andmaintainscompliance. Controls, coordinates, and evaluates General Accounting functions. Conducts annual review of policies and procedures for assigned areas. Reviews andapprovesrevisions to policies and procedures for assigned areas as needed. Ensures assigned areas are compliant with JCAHO requirements. Responsible for staff assigned areas. Ensures staff are performingin accordance withthe expectations of their assigned responsibilities. Evaluates direct report employees and ensures other staff evaluations are completed appropriately andin a timely manner. Handles employee concerns. Promote staff morale and positive relations with employees.
