Full-Time Teaching Faculty: Biology

Quinnipiac University’s Department of Biological Sciences seeks an engaging, student‑centered educator for a full‑time, non‑tenure‑track position as Assistant Teaching Professor or Instructor in Human Anatomy and Physiology. The successful candidate will teach the two‑semester Human Anatomy and Physiology course series, potentially contribute to introductory biology lecture and laboratory courses, and advise, mentor, and participate in departmental service activities. The start date is August 10, 2026. Responsibilities Teach the lecture and laboratory components of the Human Anatomy and Physiology course series, with potential teaching of additional introductory biology or graduate courses as needed (standard teaching load: four courses (12 credits) per semester). Hold regular office hours and advise, guide, and mentor students academically and professionally. Participate in departmental, college, and university service activities, including attendance at meetings. Education Requirements A terminal degree in Biology or a closely related field is required for appointment as Assistant Teaching Professor. A master’s degree in Biology or a closely related field qualifies for appointment as Instructor. Qualifications Demonstrated expertise and experience teaching Human Anatomy and Physiology, including both lecture and laboratory components. Proven effectiveness in teaching undergraduate biology courses. Ability to contribute positively within a collaborative academic environment. Dedication to creating an inclusive and supportive learning experience for students.
