Certified Surg Tech - Travel Job

Jackson HealthPros is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist to expertly assist physicians and nurses in the operating room during surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety by preparing the operating room, sterilizing equipment, and providing support to the surgical team.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current certification from a program accredited by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or equivalent (Certified Surgical Technologist).
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• 2 years' experience as a certified OR Tech / Surgical Technologist in a surgical environment.
• Experience with OB/GYN cases preferred. Candidate should demonstrate knowledge of Cesarean section and hysterectomy procedures, episiotomy procedure role, and basic understanding of Labor and Delivery workflows and supply needs (preferred).
• Experience working in small hospital settings or critical access hospitals preferred, including familiarity with limited OR resources and working across two ORs and an endoscopy suite (preferred).
• Ability to perform instrument setup, maintain sterile field, complete accurate counts, and handle specimens per policy.
• Required license: Surgical Assistant (as specified by client).

Assignment Details:

• Facility type: Hospital.
• Shift: Nights.
• Shift hours: 1900-0700.
• Schedule rotation: Night/Day rotate only as noted by facility description (D/N rotate only).
• On-call: Light call for emergent cases only after training; no trauma call required.
• Setting: Small critical access hospital with two ORs and one endoscopy suite.
• Duration: 13 Week travel assignment.
