Security Officer - Patrol Specialist

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Specialist in Dekalb, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a food and beverage location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon 12:00 PM - 08:00 PM Tue 12:00 PM - 08:00 PM Wed 12:00 PM - 08:00 PM Thur 12:00 PM - 08:00 PM Fri 12:00 PM - 08:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage manufacturing location. Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and reporting requirements. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, exterior perimeter, and other assigned locations to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards. Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for visitors, vendors, and contractors in accordance with site-specific procedures. Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts. Minimum Requirements: Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
