About the Role

No vibration-analysis experience is required. HECO PSG is looking for a dependable, mechanically curious person who wants to build a career in industrial reliability. You will learn to collect condition-monitoring data, recognize developing equipment problems, and help customers improve the health of motors, pumps, gearboxes, fans, compressors, and other rotating assets. Training, mentoring, and support toward industry certification will be provided.

• Travel to customer facilities and safely collect vibration and other condition-monitoring data on industrial
• Follow established routes and procedures to gather accurate, repeatable machine
• Learn to identify basic signs of bearing, alignment, balance, looseness, and other rotating-equipment
• Document equipment condition, observations, and completed work clearly and on
• Assist experienced analysts with troubleshooting, testing, analysis, and customer
• Communicate professionally with customer maintenance, engineering, and operations
• Complete assigned technical training and work toward ISO/ASNT Category I vibration

• High school diploma or
• Technical school, apprenticeship, military, maintenance, electrical, mechanical, or industrial exposure is helpful but not required but heavily sought after.
• Military experience is a plus but not required. We have found that individuals with a background in the armed forces transition exceptionally well into our company culture due to their operational discipline and leadership skills. However, we highly value equivalent civilian experience and encourage all qualified candidates to apply.
• Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn mobile data-collection and reporting
• Ability to read and follow written instructions, equipment labels, safety procedures, and route
• Dependability, attention to detail, and willingness to learn from

• Work safely in active industrial environments around operating and rotating
• Frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb stairs or ladders, and access equipment in varied plant
• Lift and carry 40+ , including instruments and related equipment.
• Wear required PPE and comply with HECO and customer safety
• Travel regularly within the assigned territory, including occasional overnight trips and schedule flexibility based on customer needs.
