Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Madison, Wisconsin.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: ED - Emergency Department\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 10/12/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, flexible\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Variable, 3x12hrs\n Hours: 36 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Oct 12, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN with adult and pediatric emergency experience for a Level II Trauma Center position requiring WI or compact RN license.Details\n \n Work in the Emergency Department of a Level II Trauma Center, preferred experience at Level I Trauma Center\n Combined adult and pediatric ER patient population\n Evening (1500-0330) and Night (1900-0730) 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays\n Epic EMR experience required\n Floating required as needed\n Requirements\n \n Active WI RN license or Compact RN license required\n Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA only), and TNCC required\n Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last 3 years required\n Epic charting system experience required, within past 12 months preferred\n Teaching hospital experience preferred\n Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment of six months or longer, with extensions highly preferred\n Skilled in trauma, cardiac monitoring, respiratory, neurological, and psychiatric emergency care\n Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and administration of emergency medications\n Experience managing dysrhythmias and interpreting 12-lead EKG/ECG\n Additional Information\n \n Must pass a telemetry exam with strict passing criteria prior to starting the assignment\n Adult exam requires 100% identification of lethal rhythms and no incorrect answers on 3rd degree heart block questions, with an overall passing score of 80% or higher\n Pediatric exam requires identification of key rhythms with a passing score of 80% or higher\n Two attempts allowed for telemetry testing; a third attempt requires proof of completed cardiac interpretation review course\n Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted\n Facility offers free onsite parking\n Care setting includes STEMI and Stroke Certified designations\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-756397.
