Division Solutions Job Posting Title Data Center Dock Supervisor Time Type Full Time Position Summary The Operations Supervisor is responsible for supervising, labor management, and planning of inbound, outbound, product slotting and customer communication activities daily, including labor scheduling, space utilization, equipment and manpower. People management responsibilities include hiring and training, planning and assigning daily work, conducting performance appraisals, addressing performance issues and resolving problems. Under the direction of the Operations Manager or Distribution Center Manager, the Supervisor is responsible for supervising the receiving, warehousing and shipping of products in a manner consistent with company service and cost objectives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Conduct staff meetings to review daily/weekly activities and ensure continuous improvement. Keep senior management and client representatives informed of critical operational issues. Develop systems and procedures for managing operations, equipment, and products safely and profitably. Manage operations to meet prescribed productivity and service goals, including cost‑savings initiatives. Meet all client‑specified KPIs and comply with quality system requirements. Apply sound communication and motivational techniques to supervise, counsel, and if needed discipline team members. Provide direction and support to Human Resources; assist in hiring, training, and professional development programs. Participate in performance evaluation and promotion/ wage‑increase recommendations. Oversee training and evaluation of warehouse staff. Plan daily work schedule based on work orders, arrival notices and customer instructions; assign duties to appropriate staff. Review pending jobs or trends; reorganize warehouse space and adjust staffing or equipment levels as necessary. Train new staff or delegate training responsibilities; assess progress of trainees. Maintain awareness of quantity and quality of work performed; provide guidance and advice. Assign supervisory duties to experienced team members acting as leads. Keep Manager advised of progress or problems requiring attention on a daily basis. Hold regular meetings with warehouse staff to assess group status and discuss improvement ideas. Assist in physical operations as needed. Deliver results by leveraging the appropriate skills at the right time. Maintain high motivation levels to provide excellent customer satisfaction. Provide ongoing growth and development opportunities for team members. Operate on the basis of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and train staff on SOP compliance. Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent. Minimum 3 years of experience in a logistics/distribution environment. Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience. Prior MHE certification or knowledge of basic MHE operation (preferred). Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), RF scanners, and WMS functions. English language proficiency (reading, writing, verbal). Basic to intermediate mathematical skills for inventory verification and quantity calculations. Strong attention to detail, organizational and personnel skills. Good communication and leadership skills. Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends. Ability to work overtime as required by business. Physical ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 11-20 pounds; reach above shoulder, squat, or kneel. Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program. Work Environment The employee is rarely exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. Noise level is usually low to moderate. Compensation Expected base pay range: $65,000.00 – $75,000.00 annually.
