Job Title: Registered Nurse - Operating Room
Location: Overland Park, KS
Type: Full-Time | Permanent
Shift & Schedule: 5 x 8-Hour Day Shifts (Start Time: 6:45 AM) OR 3 x 12-Hour Night Shifts (Start Time: 7:00 PM) | On-Call Required
Pay rate: $41.00 to 46.00/hr

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse – Surgery / Operating Room for an exciting Permanent opportunity in Overland Park, KS.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patients prior to surgical procedures.

• Educate patients and family members regarding surgical procedures and the perioperative process.

• Prepare patients for surgery, including IV therapy administration, preoperative medications, and surgical site verification.

• Participate in surgical safety protocols, including briefings, time-outs, debriefings, and universal protocol compliance.

• Monitor patient status and respond appropriately to emergencies.

• Deliver evidence-based nursing care throughout the perioperative experience.

• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and thoroughly.

• Provide patient and caregiver education regarding treatment plans and post-operative care.

Required Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license in Kansas or eligibility to obtain required.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN) required.

• Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience required.

• Scrub and/or Circulating experience required.

• Acute Care nursing experience required.

• BLS Certification required within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience across multiple surgical specialties, including Trauma, General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, Urology, Gynecology, and Neurosurgery preferred.
