We're looking for a Registered Nurse to join our MAT Urgent Care Clinic at our Lake Charles location. Our Behavioral Health Services division provides comprehensive and coordinated outpatient services to individuals with mental illness and/or an addictive disorder (alcohol, drugs, or gambling) for both adults and children. Minimum Qualifications Possession of a current Louisiana Registered Nurse license or a temporary permit or multi‑state license issued by a Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC/eNLC) state to practice as a registered nurse plus one of the following: One year of experience as a licensed registered nurse; OR A bachelor's degree in nursing; OR A master's degree in nursing or public health. Job Duties The incumbent participates in the planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and performance improvement of the Medication‑Assisted Treatment (MAT) Urgent Care Program. Coordinates and manages nursing equipment/supply needs, consultation needs; develops and implements nursing protocol, policies, and procedures that relate to the provision of quality nursing services for the MAT Urgent Care. Coordinates and participates in Quality Assurance measures that relate to the nursing services function within the program. Provides nursing services such as assessments; verbal order protocol in collaboration with credentialed prescribers; medication refills; pharmacy prior authorization; administers injections; monitors medications; conducts urine drug and pregnancy screens, measures vital signs, weight, height, BMI, pulse, temperature; provides medication education and other pertinent health‑related education; refers clients to appropriate community health care providers; responds to medical emergencies. Position Specific Details Appointment Type: Job appointment or probational. Job appointments last up to 4 years and may be converted to a probational appointment. Work Schedule: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday. Compensation: Salary based on qualifications and experience.
