Speech Pathologist

Dignity Health East Valley Rehabilitation Hospital - Gilbert seeks a compassionate Speech Pathologist to provide inpatient rehabilitation services to adults recovering from stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, and other complex conditions. In this mission-driven, patient-first environment, you will perform comprehensive speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing evaluations; develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans; and deliver intensive therapies that help patients regain communication abilities, safe swallowing, and independence. Working within a collaborative, interdisciplinary team, you will participate in team conferences, educate patients and families, document care accurately, and support a culture of dignity, respect, safety, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities Evaluate adult patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in an inpatient rehab setting. Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans and goals. Deliver one-on-one and group therapies to support communication, cognition, and safe swallowing. Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately in the EMR. Collaborate with physicians, nursing, PT/OT, and other disciplines on coordinated care plans. Educate patients and families on communication and swallowing strategies and home programs. Participate in team conferences, care planning, and discharge planning. Monitor patient progress using standardized outcome measures and adjust plans as needed. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
