Job Title

Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Location

Columbus, GA

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to an adult and geriatric patient population in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting
• Manage and monitor patients with dysrhythmias, including interpretation and intervention
• Perform central line care and management, and administer IV vasopressors as indicated
• Support and manage patients requiring CPAP, BiPAP, and mechanical ventilation
• Conduct triage assessments and prioritize patient care based on acuity
• Float within scope of practice to other units or a sister campus as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in Georgia or a Compact state
• Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Room experience (first-time travelers accepted)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Proficiency with Pyxis and Epic systems
• Availability to work every other weekend
• Willingness to work required major holidays per assignment period (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year's Eve/Day)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in an emergency room environment
• Familiarity with high-acuity patient management including ventilated and hemodynamically unstable patients
