A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Micro segmentation Engineer

Title:  Micro segmentation Engineer
Position type: Full Time – Contract
Duration:18 Months
Location: Irving, TX (Hybrid-3 days onsite and 2 days Remote)

 

Micro segmentation Engineer, You will:

• Design, deploy, and manage host-based segmentation policies across on-premises environments, ensuring safe enforcement and minimal business disruption.
• Operate and mature Illumio or equivalent platforms, including VEN agent lifecycle management, SaaS policy engines, and enforcement modes.
• Lead real-world deployments, validating segmentation policies through telemetry analysis, baselining, and traffic flow validation.
• Develop scalable segmentation architectures, aligning with Zero Trust principles and enterprise security standards.
• Partner with vendors and internal teams to resolve operational issues, escalate platform constraints, and ensure reliable enforcement.
• Translate technical telemetry and segmentation outcomes into clear executive-level summaries for leadership and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Hands-on Micro Segmentation experience with demonstrated project outcomes.
• Experience in with on-premises Micro Segmentation deployment experience.
• Deep understanding of host-based segmentation, architecture design, and operational implementation.
• Illumio or similar platforms, SIEM tools, Linux/Windows server fundamentals, and network flow analysis.
• Experience with production change management, incident response, and vendor collaboration.

• Experience integrating segmentation telemetry into SIEM pipelines or automation frameworks.
• Familiarity with Zero Trust security models and enterprise IAM concepts.
• Relevant certifications (CISSP, CCSP, or vendor-specific micro-segmentation certifications).

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range: $48/hr to $53/hr
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
