Job summary:


Marketing Specialist (MS) will provide support to managers and executives by contributing to marketing campaigns and projects. They perform a variety of duties within SFA's Development department, including creating social media campaigns, analyzing data, and event planning. MS will work in a variety of office settings and may travel occasionally.

• One (1) years experience in marketing and communications
  • Working knowledge of Social Media platforms
• Experience with event planning
• Ability to pass a drug screening and State of Alaska background check

• Photography skills and experience
• Proficient in Canva and/or other graphic design platforms
• Comfortable with AI and newer technologies

• Excellent written, verbal and organizational skills
• Punctuality and consist reliability in reporting to work
• Understanding of marketing and public communications
• The ability to:

  • Maintain confidentiality and treat everyone with dignity and respect
• Basic computer skills and fluid use of electronic communication tools

• Manage Set Free social media platforms
  • Create campaigns
  • Track analytics
• Work with vendor to update Set Free Website to keep it current
• Administrate Set Free mailing lists and marketing spreadsheets
• Create press releases
• Assist with the creation, setup, facilitation and completion of marketing events
• Oversee the design and graphics of marketing materials
• Conduct market research to better understand the marketing needs of the organization, staff holders and its target audience
