Licensed Massage Therapist at BLOOM Skin + Wellness Job Description BLOOM skin + wellness is a boutique skin, scalp, and wellness studio located in Quarry Walk in Oxford, CT. We are currently looking for a licensed massage therapist to join our growing team. We are receiving consistent requests for full-body massage services and are looking for someone who is experienced, professional, warm, and aligned with our relaxing, elevated approach to wellness. This is a great opportunity for a massage therapist who wants to grow within an established spa environment without having to handle all of the marketing, booking, and client acquisition on their own. Responsibilities Provide a variety of massage therapies including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments tailored to individual client needs Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans and ensure effective pain management Communicate clearly with clients to understand their concerns, explain treatment procedures, and set realistic wellness goals Maintain detailed records of each session, including client progress and treatment notes in compliance with health regulations Ensure a safe and comfortable environment by adhering to sanitation standards and following all licensing requirements Stay informed about the latest techniques in physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to enhance service quality Promote client retention through excellent customer service and professional client communication Requirements Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with current credentials and certifications Proven experience in massage therapy modalities such as Swedish massage, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and medical massage techniques Knowledge of human physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to accurately assess patient needs Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients Ability to work independently while maintaining professionalism Connecticut requires massage therapists to be licensed, and licensed massage therapists providing direct care must carry professional liability coverage of at least $250,000 per occurrence and $1 million aggregate Why Join Us?
