Machine Operator Details:

• Temporary position
• $23.67 / hour
• Full Time work available
• Various shifts available ( Sunday through Friday )

Operate manufacturing machinery and equipment in accordance with established procedures.* Perform visual quality inspections on products and materials, utilizing gauges to ensure specifications are met.* Engage in basic preventative maintenance tasks for machinery and equipment.*  Ability to frequently lift and move materials and products weighing up to 70 pounds independently.* Capability to stand, bend, twist, push, pull, climb stairs/ladders, stoop, crouch, and reach at or below shoulder level throughout an 8-hour shift.* Requires gross and fine manipulation with hands.* Must possess hearing ability and visual acuity (with corrective lenses as needed) to safely operate machinery and perform detailed inspections.**Qualifications*** **Education:** High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.* **Experience:** 0-1 years of experience of machine operating experience. Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.* **Required Skills:** * Strong commitment to safety. * Detail-oriented with a focus on visual quality inspection. * Basic understanding of gauges. * Familiarity with grinders. * Good problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).  Must be comfortable working in an environment in which you will be provided and must understand written and verbal instructions in English for safety reasons. Must be available to work overtime up to 12 hour shifts and/or on weekends.

Machine Operator Qualifications:

Previous experience as a Machine Operator. * Experience in hot forging processes.**Pre-employment Requirements:**Successful completion of a background check and drug screen is required for this position. Ask if they have convictions they wish to disclose and what those are.Disqualify if:-No high school diploma/GED-Not English-speaking -Unable to commute to Homer-Unable to work in environment with extreme heat in excess of 120 degrees in the summer months
