Clinical Dietitian - Per Diem

Job Overview

Seeking a highly motivated Clinical Registered Dietitian with a passion for helping the pediatric population to work in our Nutritional Services Department.

This position is per diem, non-exempt and benefits eligible. The pay range for this position is $48.26 - $68.16/hour. Compensation is determined based on years of experience and departmental equity.

Responsibilities

This position provides clinical nutrition services and care to pediatric patients with a variety of diagnoses and acuity, and counsels/educates patients and their families on specific diets and normal nutrition.

• Performs comprehensive nutritional assessments of assigned pediatric patients with a variety of diagnoses and acuity levels.
• Develops a nutritional care plan based on the findings of the Nutritional Screen and/or Assessment. Monitors/reassesses hospital patients
• Supervises the work of the Dietary Clerks, and Volunteers.
• Assists with planning the patients' cycle menu to promote healthy choices as defined by the U.S. Dietary Guidelines.
• Maintains inventory of clinical supplies required to provide services. Consults with the Manager as specified.

Qualifications

Required

• Registered Dietitian
• Dietitian license in state of practice
• 1 year Clinical Dietitian in health-care setting

Preferred

• Bachelor's in Nutrition
• Pediatric experience
