Financial Advisor

Job Description

HilltopSecurities is looking to hire a Financial Advisor in Austin, Texas. This role will be responsible for creating, implementing, and continually reviewing financial plans that include strategies designed to help clients pursue their long-term goals. Devise and execute business development strategies to attract and acquire new clients. Become an integral partner of an existing advisory team assisting in client communications and development.

Responsibilities

Devise and execute business development strategies to attract and acquire new clients

Operate using independent judgment when analyzing clients' financial needs, goals, sensitivity to risk, investment horizon, and possible tax exposure

Advise clients regarding the advantages and disadvantages of different investment strategies

Execute investment transactions according to established policies

Create, implement, and continually review a plan that includes strategies designed to help clients pursue their long-term goals

Act as the steward of the client assets and achieve client satisfaction and loyalty through excellent service

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or other business related major

Minimum of two years retail brokerage or related experience

NASD Series 7 and Series 65 or Series 66 licenses required

Knowledge of securities related products including mutual funds, variable and fixed insurance products, unit investment trusts, investment advisory programs and individual securities.

Solid understanding and track record in following applicable industry regulations and practices

Excellent interpersonal skills and high level of integrity

Proven ability to analyze, interpret, and solve complex problems

Competitive drive and achievement oriented

Excellent verbal communication and sales presentation skills

About the Team

HilltopSecurities' Wealth Management department values its relationship-based approach to serving clients. Through our Private Client Group, we provide highly customized sound financial planning across a range of investment objectives and products. Our Wealth Management professionals deliver a full suite of services for investors such as helping to build wealth, analyzing financial status and goals, advising on investment strategies, developing new business opportunities, and welcoming new clients. You will also be able to learn and deliver behavioral financial concepts to clients, forge relationships with community and business leaders, and learn from experienced financial professionals about how to fully support the individuals you serve. Our Clearing department supports more than 130 broker-dealers and Registered Investment Advisors who provide institutional and financial services through industry experts.
