Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care, first aid, and emergency medical response for students and staff.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and district policies.
• Monitor students with chronic and acute medical conditions while maintaining accurate health records.
• Assist in developing and implementing Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs), Emergency Action Plans (EAPs), and other student health documentation.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and healthcare providers to support student health and academic success.
• Participate in IEP and 504 meetings as appropriate.
• Promote health education, wellness initiatives, and disease prevention throughout the school community.
• Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal health regulations and documentation requirements.

Qualifications

• Active Minnesota RN or LPN license .
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Previous pediatric, school nursing, clinic, public health, or related nursing experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with school staff, students, and families.
