Travel RN - ICU

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring a TX or compact RN license and 1-2 years of critical care experience with vent and BiPAP management skills.

Job Details

• Work in the ICU/CCU department of an acute care hospital,
• 6-bed unit with patient ratios of 1:2,
• Adult and geriatric patient population, no pediatrics,
• Common diagnoses include CHF, AFib RVR, DKA, pneumonia, and sepsis,
• Uses telemetry monitors, VS machines, bladder scanner, ultrasound for IV access, Doppler, ventilators, and BiPAP equipment,
• MedHost EHR system used,
• Mixed shift schedule with rotating weekends,
• May be placed on call during periods of low census,
• May be required to float to Med/Surg when ICU census is low,

Job Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required,
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required),
• 1-2 years of ICU/critical care experience required,
• Experience with ventilator and BiPAP management required,
• Experience with critical care drips required,
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration,

• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be eligible for the travel rate,
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible,
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time,
• Every other weekend work required
