Direct Support Professional

Payrate: $17.11 / hr

Union Dues: .5% per paycheck

Shift: This position will initially provide 1:1 support for a client attending dialysis appointments. The anticipated schedule is full-time, with shifts on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, the employee will be scheduled for 8-hour shifts to assist with staffing needs at other residential locations. Please note that the 1:1 assignment is temporary and dependent upon the client's ongoing support needs. Once the client no longer requires 1:1 services, the employee will be offered available shifts across our programs and may select a schedule based on operational needs and personal availability.

Mandatory Requirement: This is a driving position. Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to verify at least one year of active driving history. If the current license was issued less than one year ago, candidates must provide a motor vehicle record, previous license, or other acceptable documentation demonstrating continuous valid licensure for at least one year. Failure to provide such documentation will result in ineligibility for employment.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO SEVITA

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

• Experience: Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred

• Skills: Communication, adaptability, multi-tasking, teamwork, time-management

• Behaviors: Patient, compassionate, reliable, responsible

• Vehicle: Valid Driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance
