Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct thorough individual, group, and family therapy sessions, focusing on diverse mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance misuse. \n
- Perform in-depth diagnostic assessments to formulate comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each client's specific goals and challenges. \n
- Engage in multi-disciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists, social workers, and educators to provide a continuum of care that addresses all aspects of a client's well-being. \n
- Maintain meticulous and confidential electronic health records (EHR) to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and facilitate efficient client communications and progress tracking. \n
- Participate in ongoing clinical supervision and professional development opportunities, staying current on trends and best practices in mental health therapy to enhance your clinical skills. \n
- Respond promptly to crisis situations, conducting risk assessments and implementing appropriate intervention strategies as required to safeguard client welfare. \n
The LMHC will primarily serve a diverse client population including adults and adolescents facing a variety of mental health challenges. Clients may present with acute or chronic disorders that require ongoing support and intervention. Your role will be integral in helping clients navigate their individual journeys toward recovery and resilience, fostering a safe and supportive therapeutic environment.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A Bachelor's degree in Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required; a Master's degree is strongly preferred. \n
- Current licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York State is essential. \n
- A minimum of two years of professional experience providing mental health counseling to individuals, groups, and families is required. \n
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, enabling effective rapport-building with clients and teamwork collaboration. \n
- Strong organizational skills, including proficiency in electronic health records systems and the ability to manage client appointments efficiently. \n
